Funds raised at the Xmas Demonstration to help The Kick Out Charity was £482.63 which proved to be an excellent fun day.

Sunday 22nd January we held the annual 10hour sponsored workout from 10am till 8pm, this was the fourth time we have held this event with twelve members completing the full 10hours the most we have had at the finish. A massive well done to those who supported this demanding event, Jay Warren, Andy Warren, Ben Morton, Mick Harris, Simon Devlin, Aidy Alderson, Greg Hart, Michelle Hart, Matthew Carling, Heather Stephenson, Craig Eaton and Paul Monty. Today 16th October Stockton Kickboxing Gym Juniors and there mams and dads completed a sponsored climb up Roseberry Topping for our Kick Out charity to help underpriviledged children. Well done to everyone and special thanks for your support. The amount raised from this event will follow in the next news read together with photos of the climb.

Our gym took part in a full contact tournament on Sat 1st October. With Jay Warren from the junior section fighting over 3 rounds which ended in a draw although Jay seemed to dominate the fight throughout. From the seniors James Wilson had a tough opponent, however James also dominated the fight and won with a decisive points decision. Well done to both these fighters and also the corner lads, Aidy Alderson and Craig Eaton.

The Kick Out Charity so far has not been as busy as last year, so we have to get things moving. However earlier in the year a donation by Mr Tom Fordyce through his works of £120 was well appreciated. Also Alan Bowstead and Paul Monty took part in a car boot sale at Redcar on 4th Sept when it poured down and they both got soaked. They did raise £59.73p
The next fund raising event will be our yearly climb up Roseberry Topping on Sunday 16th Oct at 11.00am everyone is welcome to come along.

Jay Warren age 12 last night fought Full Contact at Stanley representing the club. His fighting was excellent producing great punches and brilliant kicking he stopped his opponent at the end of the 2nd round with a roundhouse kick to the head. His opponent did not come out for the 3rd round which meant Jay was declared the winner. Well done Jay now lets look forward to see Jay in action again.

On the 22nd Jan a 10hour sponsored continuous workout event took place at Elm tree community centre raising funds to help underpriveledged children. 9 members of the Gym completed the event they were;

Last nights Full Contact competition went very well. Our two fighters Kev Wheatley and James Wilson both fought excellent. They showed courage and heart the key ingredients a fighter must have. Both fights went the distance with Kev just missing out on a win by one point so close. James managed to win his fight which also was a close fought contest. Well done to both fighters. Watch out for there next contests.

Good Luck to the two senior Full Contact Fighters Kevin Wheatley and James Wilson competing tomorrow sunday 7th November. Both have trained extremely hard over the past two months and are now ready to enjoy the competition.

The sponsored Roseberry Topping climb went very well with a good day of sunshine. The names of the boys and girls that took part were for the girls; Katie Foulger,Rebecca Race,Paweena Karattaphong,Rosie Stonehouse,Toni Eeles and Emma Hart and for the boys; Tom Flewker,Jay Warren,James Graham,Ellis Alderson,Louie Alderson and Kain Monty they all got up to the top safely and back down again well done to them all and also a big thank you to all the parents that took the time to come along and give there support. Photos will be posted soon of the event together with arial photos taken by Michael Leanard from his helicoptor. And of course the total amount raised.

Another fund raising event took place on 5th September to help the underpriveledged children. When Greg and Michelle Hart took part in the Middlesbrough 10K sponsored race. Greg completed the race in 44mins 48sec and Michelle completed the race in 60mins 23sec excellent times!
The total they both raised for the charity was an incredible £152 well done to you both and a massive Thank You.

The 2nd Charity event for the underpriveledged children took place last sunday morning with a Car Boot sale from items donated. Paul and Alan Bowman were up at 5am preparing for the sale which raised a grand total of £261.46 and i would like to take this opportunity to personally thank Alan for giving his time.

The first fund raising event for 2011 helping underpriviledged children was a sack of rice challenge over 1 month, between June and July. We managed to raise in that time £473.04 a great start to the cause. Thank you to all who supported this event.

THe 10hour sponsored workout event raised a total of £588.50 many thanks to all that took part and all that gave there support all was donated to our Kickout charity. This year with all events we raised a grand total of £1865.20 double of what we raised the previous year a great achievement and thanks again to all who gave there support.

The Gym completed 10hours continuous workout yesterday sat 23rd Jan from 10am till 8pm to raise funds for underprivledged children. 7 members of the gym completed the whole task.Well done to them, and all the people that came along to join in at various times throughout the day, your support was very welcome.Funds raised from this event will be posted once the sponsership is all in. James Graham,Jay Warren and Tom Flewker who took part in a Kickboxing Tournament at Stanley and did extremely well as it was there first time in a competition,and in a boxing ring. James fought an older lad with experiance and showed just how much heart he had by being 2 rounds down then fighting back to take the 3rd even with a foot injury he was carrying. Tom did well also by defeating his opponent on points winning all three rounds,and Jay had 2 fights stopping his opponent in the 3rd round of the first fight and winning his 2nd fight on points again winning every round. Well done to these 3 lads a credit to Stockton Kickboxing Gym.Photos will be posted on this news page soon.

October 18th our club took part in one of the Kick Out charitys fund raising events to help underpriveledged children, with a sponsored walk/climb up Roseberry Topping. Parents also came along and took part, Stockton Kickboxing Gym would like to give a Big Thank You for all your support. Sat 24th Oct 11am - 12.30pm at Elm Tree Community Centre we will be holding an intoduction course in ABC Weapon and Combat Training which was devised and developed by Chris Crudelli. Learn the skills invoved using sticks and knives. The course fee is £5 which will all be donated to the Kick Out Charity to help underpriviledged children. The best grade for the junior gradings on Sat 26th Sept 09 was awarded to Tom Flewker now green belt for his outstanding effort, well done Tom keep up the good work. In very close 2nd was Jay Warren now green belt a previous winner of this award, keep kicking Jay. And a joint 3rd was Charleigh O Connor and Leanne Conn both now green belts with excellent commitment, certainly two girls to watch out for. Well done girls. And well done to all the students who passed there grades a good effort; Dean Graham and Joseph Atkinson 1st grade White belts. James Carberry, Adam Tweddle, Emily Tweddle and Jessica Carberry all 2nd grade Yellow belts. Hannah Louise Race, Rebecca Jane Race, Liam Small, Katie Foulger, Chloe Mallaby, James Graham and Michael Lattaway 3rd grade Green belts.

Saturday 12th Sept Paul and Aidy went to Birmingham to take part in an ABC combat training seminar with Master Chris Crudelli from the hit TV programme Mind Body Kick Ass Moves. An unforgetable experiance. Mic Barker took photos which will be posted on website soon.

Gary Spacey who is in the Marines fought on Thursday 25th June in Barry Wales for the Help The Heroes Charity 5 bouts Marines / Paras versus civilians. Gary knocked his opponent down in the first round with a left roundhouse kick to the head for an eight count - but he was saved by the bell. The result after five rounds was a unanimous victory for Gary. Well done from all at Stockton Kickboxing Gym.

Craig Eaton fought in a competition at Beamish. He took the fight at short notice but unfortunately got caught cold in the 1st round taking a knock down. From this he never recovered and the fight was stopped. Great courage was shown from Craig for getting in the ring at short notice, but with all sports you must train differently to compete and he never had the time. This won't put him off; it'll just make him more eager to get himself back in the ring. See the fight hosted by p4tv.com
